Tournament Rules

1. This is a scratch 5 Pin tournament open to all bowlers with or without an established average.
2. The rules of the C5PBA regarding pinfall and personal bowling balls will apply. The bowling centree is not responsible for damaged bowling balls.
3. Entry Fee is $200. Cheques dated and received on or before August 1, 2011 will be accepted. After
August 1, 2011 payment will be Cash or Interac. Please make cheques payable to SCOTTSDALE LANES.
Post dated or NSF Cheques will nulify entry. In the unlikely event the tournament is cancelled, all entry fees
will be refunded.
4. The lane draw will be conducted under the supervision of the Tournament Committee. There will
be a maximum of 4 bowlers per lane per shift, unless the number of entries necessitates a change.
5. Prize money of $26,000 is based on 120 entries + 48 Doubles.
6. The tournament will consist of 3 qualifying shifts (Friday Sep. 2nd, @ 1:00 pm, and Sat Sep. 3rd @ 9:00 am
and 2:00 pm). Bowlers may enter all shifts but may only qualify once for the finals.
7. At the conclusion of the 3 qualifying shifts, the 31 bowlers with the highest pinfall will advance to
the Match Play Championship on Sunday Sep. 4th @ 9:00 am. Those bowlers finishing 32nd to 63rd will
will bowl in the consolation event. In the event of an absent bowler for the consolation round all spots will be filled.
8. Consolation event will be 1 game match play with a $20.00 entry fee. The final winner becoming the 32nd finalist in the
Match Play Championship on Sunday Sep. 5th @ 9:00 am.
9. Ties for 31st and 63rd positions will require a 1 game rolloff.
10. The format of the Championship Match Play shall consist of 2 sides, A & B. All bowlers qualifying for the
Finals will bowl in both A and B sides. The A side matches will be determined by qualifying round
pinfall. The B side matches will be determined by a random draw.
11. The Tournament Committee will decide on any matters that may arise during the event. Their decision will be final.
12. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry before or during the Tournament and to
disqualify any bowler for improper conduct.
13. Bowler Investment Seminar will be held prior to the Consolation event on Saturday evening
selling the 32 finalists.
14. Entry deadline is August 1, 2011. Late entries will be accepted if space permits.
